ROTATION LIFECYCLE
Your programme is designed to end with a six months project rotation abroad. To prepare you for this and for your career after the programme the first 2 x 9 months rotations are focused around building your competencies and knowledge about many of the core financial disciplines. This part of the programme is hosted by our Group Finance department and you will be based in our Central Office in Copenhagen. Depending on your profile and need of the business we will design your programme with two of the following rotations for your first 18 months; Financial Planning & Analysis rotation, Consolidation rotation or/and Accounting rotation.
FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS ROTATION - In this rotation you will, among others, support the team in creating, analysing and commenting on the financial reports (for Carlsberg’s Executive Committee). You will get the opportunity of working directly with senior management, both on a recurring basis, as well as for ad hoc finance projects. In addition, the finance graduate will drive the financial and business controlling of the Carlsberg Group’s non-commercial companies. Finally, the finance graduate will be involved in projects and assignments directly related to the objectives of Group Finance.
CONSOLIDATION ROTATION - In the Consolidation rotation, you will be part of Group Consolidation, where you will get knowledge in the Group’s financial consolidation system and processes. You will get a deep dive into accounting practices, through ensuring the company’s financials are ready for internal and external use. Moreover, you will constantly communicate with subsidiaries, regions and other group functions during the consolidation process. Finally, you will be exposed to and participate in the Annual Report process, requiring cooperation with Auditors and preparation of financial statements.
ACCOUNTING ROTATION - In the Accounting rotation, you will be part of Group Accounting, where you will gain knowledge of the Group’s external financial reporting and participate in the development of the quarterly and annual reports. You will get a deep dive into accounting practices, document accounting estimates and help improve the Group’s policies and guidelines. Moreover, you will corporate with Investor Relations and communicate with subsidiaries, regions and functions during the reporting process. Additionally, you will be involved in the planning and coordination with the Auditors and involved in the review of audit documents.
PROJECT ROTATION ABROAD - Typically, the project rotation is through participation in a group-wide project or with one of the markets outside Denmark where you will be responsible for implementing a specific project locally or supporting a subsidiary with local finance operations. This rotation abroad offers the opportunity to utilize the skills acquired during the program, and to contribute to the running of the local business. This rotation is developed together with the graduate depending on actual finance projects and possibilities in the local markets.
